Michael Anthony Morganett, age 53, departed this life on December 4, 2025, in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born on April 9, 1972, also in Louisville, where he spent much of his life.
Michael was well known for his deep love of cars and trucks, and his lifelong passion for NASCAR. He dedicated much of his career to working in body shops, where his skill and knowledge were evident, but he found just as much joy fixing vehicles in his free time. Cars were more than a hobby to Michael—they were part of who he was.

Outside of the garage, Michael cherished warm weather, pizza at any time of day, and time spent boating. The beach and the ocean were his places of peace, where he felt most at ease. He lived life on his own terms and was known for being strong-willed, independent, bold, and always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.

Michael is survived by his beloved daughter; Sierra Morganett, his seven siblings, William R. Morganett , JoAnn Vessels (Daniel), Bonnie Morganett, Roger Morganett (Kim), Lorie Morganett, Vickie Sabel (James), and Karen Hoefflin (Paul); and his several nieces and nephews. He will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew and loved him.

Michael’s memory will live on through the lives he touched and the love he shared.
